The Little Italy Redevelopment Corporation and the Italian American Museum of Cleveland has partnered with Take-a-Hike Tours to offer free walking tours of Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood. Tours will take place on Mondays in June and July, from 6-7:30p.m. and begin at Brescia Park (12002 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, OH 44106). Attendees will explore various historic sites in the neighborhood and learn some of the history of the Italian American community who established it. For 124 years, the Parish of Holy Rosary has hosted the celebration of Feast of the Assumption in Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood, located on Mayfield Road near University Circle. The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Catholic Holy Day on August 15, commemorates Mary being taken into Heaven. A solemn Mass is celebrated in the Church at 10:00 a.m., after which the statue of the Virgin Mary is taken in procession throughout the neighborhood.
