The ethnic enclave has been the home of Italian culture and cuisine for over a century, and today brings together the historic and contemporary as one of hottest neighborhoods in Cleveland. Programming brought to you by Taste Cleveland Food Tours. Our Little Italy Food Tour will explore the Cleveland Italian culture that has existed for generations; its people, its philosophies, and most importantly its food. We will enjoy specialized dishes from a variety of restaurants; some long standing, some new to the area, while we take time to appreciate the contributions of Cleveland's rich Italian culture. The Little Italy Redevelopment Corporation and the Italian American Museum of Cleveland has partnered with Take-a-Hike Tours to offer free walking tours of Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood. Tours will take place on Mondays in June and July, from 6-7:30p.m. and begin at Brescia Park (12002 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, OH 44106).  Attendees will explore various historic sites in the neighborhood and learn some of the history of the Italian American community who established it.  There will also be a special stop at the Cozad-Bates House Interpretive Center to learn about the area's connection to the Underground Railroad in the 1800s.
